Nonadiabatic nonlinear optics and quantum geometry — Application to the twisted Schwinger effect

چکیده
We study the tunneling mechanism of nonlinear optical processes in solids induced by strong coherent laser fields. The theory is based on an extension Landau-Zener model with nonadiabatic geometric effects. In addition to rectification effect known previously, we find two effects, namely perfect and counterdiabaticity at fast sweep speed. apply this twisted Schwinger effect, i.e., pair production particles rotating electric fields, a nonperturbative generation opto-valley polarization photo-current Dirac Weyl fermions.

Application of Quantum Inequalities to Quantum Optics
We establish a connection between quantum inequalities, known from quantum field theory on curved spacetimes, and the degree of squeezing in quantum-optical experiments. We prove an inequality which binds the reduction of the electric-field fluctuations to their duration. The bigger the level of fluctuation-suppression the shorter its duration. As an example of an application of this inequality...

We show that the recently proposed bulk dual of an entangled pair of a quark and an antiquark corresponds to the Lorentzian continuation of the tunneling instanton describing Schwinger pair creation in the dual field theory. This observation supports and further explains the claim by Jensen and Karch that the bulk dual of an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pair is a string with a wormhole on its world ...
متن کاملThe beginning of quantum nonlinear optics [Invited]
When asked to talk at the symposium celebrating the fiftieth birthday of nonlinear optics in Kauai last July, I needed to decide on an interesting approach beyond that of rehashing the, by now familiar, scientific facts. The work that I will describe has to do with the quantum mechanical formalism for nonlinear optics. Although the implications of this theory are fundamental and continue to unf...
متن کاملResonance effects in the nonadiabatic nonlinear quantum dimer
The quantum nonlinear dimer consisting of an electron shuttling between two sites and in weak interaction with vibrations, is studied numerically under the application of a DC electric field. A fieldinduced resonance phenomenon between the vibrations and the electronic oscillations is found to influence the electronic transport greatly. For initial delocalization of the electron, resonance has ...
